The Dominica Beginner Basketball Association (DABA) Public Basketball League Finals forged ahead with Saturday, August 17, 2024, with energizing performances in both the Premiere and Division 1 Finals.
Premiere League Finals: D-Treads Blazers took an instructing 2-0 lead.
In Game 2 of the best-of-five Premiere League Finals, the D-Treads Blazers outperformed the Paix Bouche Eagles 78-61. The Blazers were fueled by the outstanding play of Thomas Felix, who drove all scorers with 31 points. Supporting his work were Donnie Robinson with 14 points and Maxwell Birmingham with 8 points.
The Eagles battled bravely, with Sharmar Felicité contributing 18 points, Kayloy Paul adding 12 points, and Lenin Paul scoring 11 points. Despite their efforts, the Eagles currently trail the series 0-2.
The Blazers are currently just one win away from asserting the Premiere League title. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 at 8:00 PM at the Massacre Indoor Sports Complex.

Zack Bastien was sensational for the Falcons, pouring in a game-high 30 points. He got strong support from Yawani Regis, who added 19 points, and Meshack Douboulay, who contributed with 11 points. Despite their bold exertion, the Falcons missed the mark as the Blazers’ resilience shone through in the decisive moments.
