BÌNH ĐỊNH – – Việt Nam’s first global ocean side tennis tournament has authoritatively opened in Bình Định Territory.
The tournament, which started on August 20, features 36 neighborhood and worldwide athletes from seven countries of Japan, Thailand, Latvia, Slovakia, the Philippines, Italia, and the hosts. They will contend in men’s, women’s and blended doubles events at the Chiến Thắng Square, close to the sandy ocean side of Xuân Diệu in Quy Nhơn City.
Among them are the world’s high-positioning players such as Japanese male couple Sakata Kouhei and Yoshimura Ryo, Thai male team Almufadhi Saleh and Harrison Leklamat and Japanese female pair Homma Eri and Otsuka Erina
After the August 19-20 Fleur De Lys Cup 2024, the ITF – BT50-2 2024 Vietravel Cup will be hung on August 21-28.
A sum of US$8,000 will be passed out to the highest-positioned players.

Ocean side tennis was first played in Europe during the 1970s and has been generally evolved worldwide in excess of 50 countries.
With its well known, safe, diverse and easily accessible nature for training and rivalry, the sport is especially suited to the 28 localities of Việt Nam which have delightful beaches. In the last three years, VTF coordinated three public championships with a consistently increasing number of participants.
VTF plans to carry ocean side tennis to the more extensive local area and assist localities with advancing their marine economies and tourism at the same time.
