Oguz Kaan Yarkut from Turk Telekom Basketball Crew will join the Oregon State Beavers, a group in the NCAA Basketball League, for the impending season.
As per the declaration, 2006-conceived Yarkut will represent Türkiye in the U.S. wearing an Oregon State Beavers jersey.
Yarkut, who has been studying at Bilkent Research facility Global School (BLIS), will proceed with his schooling at Oregon State University in Oregon while also rivaling the Oregon State Beavers in the NCAA starting this September.
Yarkut, who has been playing for Turk Telekom Sports Club since 2022, showed up on the BKT European Cup roster.
Yarkut inspired by Alperen Sengun
Yarkut disclosed in the statement that his inspiration is Alperen Sengun and that he aspires to represent the Turkish Public Group. He described his approaching journey as both elating and fulfilling.
Yarkut expressed his enthusiasm for the chance to represent Türkiye in the US, as well as his devotion to the professional advancement of his basketball vocation.
He observed that the chance to contend with the best athletes in the NCAA and further his schooling would be a remarkable encounter.
Yarkut believes that going up against school athletes he has respected on television and those in his position will significantly improve his abilities.
He is resolute in his obligation to work tirelessly, getting inspiration from good examples such as Alperen Sengun, to gladly represent Türkiye in the NCAA and, in a perfect world, with the public group. He also expressed his appreciation to every one of those who have supported him.
